When I first begin a project, I write "what is the audience?" and "what is the purpose?" at the top of the page—and I answer these questions before I do anything else. Why? Because I believe anyone can write, but being able to make the words come to life with a clear end goal in mind is what matters. Each word and sentence has the potential to make someone think, inspire them to take action, or push them to share it with their community.

I have gained hands-on experience writing in a variety of different mediums for unique audiences over the past five years, including press releases, talking points, press memos, blog posts, and more. In my current role at Reproductive Freedom for All, I actively monitor media trends and work to proactively build compelling narratives, perform research, and provide high-quality, informative materials for members, staff, and partners.
